Day 1: Marrakesh - Atlas Mountains–Ait Benhadou - Ouarzazate -Skoura- Dades Valley

We’ll cross through the majestic mountains of the Alto Atlas and the port of Tzi-N-Tichka, the gate entrance to the desert which is 2260ms high. Here we will pause to contemplate the fantastic views.
We will continue to Ait Ben Haddou, one of the geological wonders of the world, which has been kept maintained throughout the millennium.

Day 2: Dades Valley-Todra Gogres-Tinejdad-Erfoud–Merzouga

In this narrow branch of the Gorge (as little as 33 feet wide), the rock walls climb straight up 525 feet on either side. After you’ve stretched your legs, you will continue on stopping once again in the town of Erfoud, where you will search for fossils before you complete the final stretch of the trip to one of the great sand seas of the Sahara desert, Erg Chebbi. Here, you will transfer to your next mode of transportation, a camel, and begin your camel trek into the dunes to your camp for the night.  

Once there, you will climb the nearest dune to watch the sunset and then relax and watch the stars come out. Dinner will be served and traditional music will be played, before removing to your tent for the night.

Day 3: Merzouga–Ziz Valley–Cedar forests and monkey troupes of Azrou–Fes

The sands are always changing, but our experienced drivers know the undulations and slopes of the surrounding dunes, and that they will take us to a fantastic viewpoint to enjoy the sunrise. We’ll watch the sun’s first golden rays strike the tawny desert dunes and then return to our encampment for a hearty breakfast. Then leaving the desert behind, we will begin our 2 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, towards Rissani, the 17th-century palace that rose to prominence in the days before the Alawite dynasty came to power. On the nearby ruins of Abbar Palace, you’ll hear the wonderful tale of its former resident’s disgraced members of the Alawi family who were exiled to live here and almost abandoned, just as the city was.  

You’ll see a great many palm trees along the 20km of the street. Along these lines drives us to the Ziz valley, which the waterway descends from the high Atlas and feeds the palm woods.
